Redmi K30 may launch by end of 2019, K30 Pro to come next year

Xiaomi already busy working on their successors and a new tip suggests that one of them, namely the Redmi K30, will launch later this year while the K30 Pro will be unveiled in 2020.Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore tweeted about the launch timelines for the Redmi K30 and K30 Pro. Without revealing his sources, the tweet mentions that the Redmi K30 will launch this year, which means we could hear about it in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the Redmi K30 Pro won’t appear until next year, according to the tipster.It is strange to think that Xiaomi would launch the Redmi K30 and K30 Pro separately, so it is best to take this leak with a pinch of salt. It also seems unlikely that the Redmi K30 would launch this year as the Redmi K20 is still a pretty recent smartphone.Xiaomi has already confirmed it is working on the Redmi K30. In fact, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing revealed recently that the Redmi K30 will come with 5G support. This also suggests the Redmi K30 will be an affordable 5G phone for the Indian market as 5G services set to rollout in India in 2020. Xiaomi rival Realme has also confirmed that it plans to launch affordable 5G phones in India next year. Apart from this, it is rumoured that the Redmi K30 will come with a punch-hole display, which means there won’t be a pop-up selfie camera.Redmi K20 is powered by a Snapdragon 730 SoC and sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, while the Redmi K20 Pro features a flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC and also brings a similar AMOLED screen.
