Feel Good Friday – Zady

first_img Editors’ Recommendations How 2 Noma Alumni Brought Their Flavorful Spirits Line to the United States As we go to Whole Foods (or our local Farmers’ Market!) to support brands and people we think are making the world a better place, Zady is doing this for the fashion world.Launched in August of last year, the site is a shopping destination where guests can find brands that have a backstory. Won Hundred, Pendleton, Industry of All Nations, Imogene + Willie and Apolis are a few of the brands we found on Zady that are favorites. Oh and the name? It is Yiddish for beloved grandfather, caretaker and from the Arabic meaning prosperous. What is really unique about the site is that Zady is one of the few sites that integrates commerce with rich media content all on the same page. So when you click on a shirt, you can read about the brand ‘Beyond the Label’ as well as see a list of bullet points on why the item is special as well as size, fit and care information. The concept has taken off and was even selected by Fast Company as one of the top 10 most innovative companies in retail. Not too shabby.Zady goes beyond clothing, too. Check out their gift section: mens accessories such as ties, belts and socks as well as candles, dopp kits, duffels and  great gifts for the gals. The House & Home section is stocked with everything from stationary and eco-friendly office supplies to awesome dog collars from ‘Found My Animal’. Be sure to click on the ‘Origins’ tab to see where all of the products come from on a global map. Kinda cool.We are big fans of this site. Since we publish stories about such brands weekly, it is difficult to impossible to find one place to shop online. Kudos to these kids for coming up with this excellent platform where we can shop stress free!
