Thecollege works cooperatively with other UO Colleges and Schools toprepare students for a broad range of career paths. There areapproximately 50 full-time faculty members, 45 instructors andadjuncts, 40 administrative positions, 30 staff members, 1200undergraduate majors, 2,250 pre-business majors, 1200 undergraduateminors, 170 master’s students and 30 doctoral students.The University of Oregon is located in Eugene, a vibrant city whichoften appears on lists of the most livable communities in thecountry. Our OBA faculty is committed to excellence inresearch and teaching, emphasizing the use of rigorous quantitativeand economic models for addressing significant operational,statistical, and technology management problems.Position SummaryResponsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduatecourses relating to data analytics and operations, as well asadvising students and participating in committees. Student contactand communication duties include office hours and advising studentson group projects. Course load is .80 FTE – 8 sections (per year -quarter system). Service expectation is .20 FTE – activities couldinclude departmental, college, or university committees;responsibilities in recognized professional organizations; majorservice as a club adviser; or service as thesis advisor for theundergraduate honors program.Although career faculty have no obligation for research orscholarship, a commitment to field-based research in the interfaceof operations management with either information systems,marketing, strategy, service management, sustainability and reverselogistics, or statistics is highly desirable.
