The team will face the Latin American regional winner, Asofem Little League of Manuabo, Puerto Rico, in today’s final at 4 p.m. Fans can watch the championship game on ESPNU. “We feel great about the win. The girls got it done,” Westchester-Del Rey manager Darryl Stewart said. “Tomorrow we are looking to hit, run and score and get great pitching from Monica (Cartwright).” Cartwright earned the victory in Friday’s game, overcoming a rough first inning in which she allowed three hits and a run. But Cartwright went on to allow just one more hit to the South team over her next three innings. Sandy Aguila held the South team hitless over the final three innings to earn the save.
