first_imgJinkoSolar connects 100 MW of PV projectsSolar manufacturer JinkoSolar has reached its first milestone for downstream projects and wants to have 500 MW connected in China by the end of next year. September 13, 2013 Max Hall Finance Installations Manufacturing Markets Markets & Policy Share Chinese solar manufacturer JinkoSolar has emphasized its downstream credentials by announcing the connection of its first 100 MW of solar projects. With generation starting at the 20 MW Shaya PV plant in Xinjiang province and the 10 MW Gonghe scheme in Qinghai, JinkoSolar CEO Kangping Chen announced the milestone yesterday before stating ambitious targets for Chinese project development. Chen says the vertically integrated wafer, ingot, cell and module manufacturer wants to have 200 MW connected in China by the end of the year and 500 MW – generating around 630 GWh/year and RMB590 million (US$96.4 million) in revenue – by the end of next year. The Shaya project, occupying almost 547,000m2 in the Shaya Industrial Park is JinkoSolar’s first in the Xinjiang desert region and features around 80,000 of the company’s modules. The Gonghe project, on the Tibetan plateau in Gonghe County, uses around 40,000 JinkoSolar modules.Popular content Enabling aluminum in batteries Mark Hutchins 27 April 2021 pv-magazine.com Scientists in South Korea and the UK demonstrated a new cathode material for an aluminum-ion battery, which achieved impressive results in both speci… ITRPV: Large formats are here to stay Mark Hutchins 29 April 2021 pv-magazine.com The 2021 edition of the International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaics (ITRPV) was published today by German engineering association VDMA.
